According to the American Pet Product Manufacturers Association, more than nine million pet owners will purchase a Valentine’s gift for their pet this year. On average, they’ll spend about $17.

Don’t forget the Valentine’s Day salon special. Your pooch can put his best paw forward with a bath and haircut, topped off with cherry-scented cologne and a pink bow. And if you’re broke after spending $100 on a dog collar, you can still have the sparkle. They’re not diamonds, but they won’t know the difference.
