Pet not like your child , they cant tell you when they have a toothache. And cats and dogs will continue to eat, even when they have severe – and often painful – tooth disease.

Slab fractures are much more common in dogs than cats, and are usually associated with dogs that eat hard things such as bones.
Cats are more likely to have a lesion — something similar to a cavity in people. It involves the enamel, as well as the root of the tooth.
Veterinarians recommend having your pet’s teeth examined at least once a year to check for such things.
